Stephen A. Philip

Founder of Belmont73, driving a unified vision across a portfolio of high-conviction AI ventures as both chief technologist and founding operator.

Prior to Belmont73, Stephen incubated the first three major generations of ChatGPT at Microsoft within a central Azure engineering division, serving as Director and Head of Generative AI. His career spans more than 15 years, including nearly a decade at Microsoft, with roots in Wall Street quantitative trading, investment banking, and enterprise consulting. His early work in high-frequency quantitative trading at a hedge fund gave him a deep grounding in the mathematical and computational foundations that would later underpin generative AI.

Chief Scientist & Strategist

John Jiang, PhD

Based in Silicon Valley, Dr. John Jiang advises Belmont73 on core AI research and strategy, bringing a 30 year career perspective of not just following trends, but starting them.

Dr. Jiang's scientific research career spans elite institutions, including NASA Ames supercomputing center, Stanford SLAC, and Fermilab. At Fermilab, he contributed to the Top Quark discovery, a landmark particle physics breakthrough. His subsequent cloud and AI work spans Google Cloud, Lockheed Martin, DHS, FAA, IBM, Hitachi, and Boeing.

As Chief Research & Cloud Architect at Hitachi America R&D, he pioneered early industrial IoT AI strategy.
